Overview

Wey-Glass Ltd is a family run business based in Aldershot, established in 2002, We are looking for a Trainee Glazier & Window Fitter to join our team, where you will develop essential skills in the installation and maintenance of glass and window systems. This paid training role offers a fantastic opportunity to learn a highly skilled trade within the construction industry. You will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of glazing, window fitting and maintenance. This position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to build a rewarding career in the glass industry, with exposure to a wide range of techniques and tools.

Responsibilities

Assist with the measurement, cutting, and fitting of glass and window units under supervision
Support the installation of windows, doors, and glass on residential and commercial sites
Learn to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
Help prepare work sites by cleaning, and organizing materials
Support team members in maintaining a clean and organized work environment while adhering to health and safety standards

Experience

No prior experience necessary; enthusiasm for learning a skilled trade is essential
Basic understanding of construction-related skills such as using hand tools or power tools is advantageous
Strong teamwork ethic with good communication skills and a proactive attitude toward safety and quality standards

This Job will be paid on a PAYE basis, hours of work are Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30pm.

Pay: From £11.00 per hour
