Full job description

Puddocks are looking for an experienced part-time cook to join our team!

We're a recently opened frog themed cafe serving breakfast, lunch and baked goods. We would love someone to join us that's a team player and enthusiastic to grow with the business.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious meals, ensuring food safety standards are met, and delivering yummy food to our customers. We need someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment, is able to take on instruction but can also use their initiative when necessary.

A high standard of cleanliness is of utmost importance and we request that applicants hold a minimum level 2 hygiene certificate for this role.

Responsibilities:

Prepare a variety of menu items with precision and care, adhering to recipes and presentation standards
Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients to streamline kitchen operations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
Follow food safety protocols diligently to ensure all meals are prepared in a hygienic environment
Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction

Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or hospitality
Familiarity with kitchen equipment, utensils, and food safety regulations
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Can both take instructions and use own initiative when necessary
High standard of cleanliness
Strong communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork

*Rate of pay will be negotiated based on experience*

Minimum 3 days per week

Pay: From £12.71 per hour

Licence/Certification:

Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (required)
