Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-precision components. The role involves cutting ply kits and racking for vehicles. Experience on designing on CAD is a bonus. Salary depends on experience

Duties

Set up and operate CNC machines using CAD and SolidWorks drawings to produce complex components.
Programme CNC equipment ensuring accurate machining based on technical specifications.
Perform grinding, milling, and other machining operations to achieve desired tolerances and finishes.
Conduct routine inspections of machined parts using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
Maintain and troubleshoot CNC machinery, including basic troubleshooting of tooling and mechanical issues.
Assist with welding, plastics injection moulding, and assembly tasks as required.
Use power tools and hand tools safely for machine maintenance and part handling.
Ensure all operations comply with safety protocols and quality standards.
Document production activities accurately and report any discrepancies or machine malfunctions promptly.

Qualifications

Proven experience in operating CNC machines within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in CAD software.
Knowledge of CNC Machines
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and tooling for assembly and maintenance tasks.
Basic maths skills for measurements, calculations, and programme adjustments.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure precision in production.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
