Conversion Manager

Demonstrate a strong focus and drive to deliver and exceed revenue objectives and maximise conversion to achieve budget. Regular analysis of the business.

With over 100 stylish bedrooms, 15 versatile meeting and event spaces, a state-of-the-art spa, and a destination restaurant, we offer an exceptional experience for leisure, business, and events. As a privately owned, independent hotel, we pride ourselves on warm, personalized service and a forward-thinking approach.

As the Sales Manager you will proactively source new leads for direct corporate business and develop all business opportunities through focused research and defining key industry types within the UK with a main focus on local and national areas. The Sales Manager will develop new business opportunities for the hotel in line with the budget.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Conduct client showrounds, support with famtrips and drive a high conversion rate

Supporting on large enquiries and to ensure all new enquires are dealt with withinour response time and fully qualified, complete with a full proposal based on client’s requirements.

Responsible for negotiating with organisers understanding the key buying factors

Practice efficient and effective yield management in line with guidelines and maximize each and every sales opportunity, upselling as frequently as possible.

Support on the qualifying and chases for key pieces of business

Ensure effective diary management, ensure that all rates quoted are in line with the hotel sell strategy and control option business to maintain a clean diary and optimize conversion levels

Work closely with the Proactive Sales Team passing on any leads of potential new clients once qualified, building relationships with existing clients to seek further opportunities

Meet & greet clients when they arrive for their event and build strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business

Analyse refused business and ensure any business we do deny is for the right reasons for the business

Regular rebook calls on all confirmed/lost business

Carry out regular competitor calls to analyse pricing and availability trends in order to support in setting out strategy

Support in regular conversion days with the team and drive a hungry sales attitude in the office

Understand the competitive market place and suggest strategy to ensure the hotel stays ahead in the marketplace.

Ensure a full understanding of the hotel’s Sales budget for the year in order to

drive business forward and deliver this strategy to new and existing clients to meet annual revenue targets.

Completing the gap analysis on a daily basis

Skills required
