Are you a qualified Health & Safety professional looking to develop your career within a fast-paced logistics environment?

Do you have experience conducting risk assessments, promoting safe working practices and driving positive behavioural change?

Are you passionate about influencing others and creating a culture where safety always comes first?

Here, at GXO, we're looking for a proactive Health and Safety Advisor to join our River Island operation in Milton Keynes. Working closely with the Health and Safety Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring all Health, Safety and Environmental matters are managed effectively, supporting compliance, promoting best practice and helping to maintain a positive safety culture across the site. This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional who enjoys working operationally, building strong stakeholder relationships and making a genuine impact on site performance

This is a full time, permanent position working Monday to Friday 08:00 – 16:00 with flexibility required.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £35,000.00 per annum, and 28 days annual leave (including bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

Review and create risk assessments and safe systems of work across warehouse operations
Carry out site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with company policies, legislation and ISO standards
Investigate incidents, analyse data and produce meaningful reports and recommendations to drive improvements
Coordinate monthly health and safety meetings, maintaining accurate statistics, KPIs and management information

What you need to succeed at GXO:

A minimum of 2 years' experience in an operationally focused Health & Safety role
NVQ Level 3 or NEBOSH General Certificate, with a commitment to continuing professional development
Strong working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and compliance requirement
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a passion for driving continuous improvement and promoting a positive safety culture
