Full job description

About Us:
We are a cosy bar in Littledean launching an exciting new small-plates menu focusing on trendy Modern Indian Tapas. We operate out of a large, fantastic kitchen space and pride ourselves on a friendly, relaxed team environment. We are looking for a reliable, hard-working Kitchen Assistant to join us for our evening shifts.

The Role:
This is a dual role perfect for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and wants to gain experience in a professional kitchen. You will work directly alongside our Head Chef during the evening service rush. Your time will be split between helping to plate up food, frying/steaming side dishes, and managing the kitchen wash station.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Head Chef with basic food assembly
Operate the commercial dishwasher and wash up pots, pans, and tableware by hand when required.
Ensure the kitchen wash station stays organised, clean, and safe throughout the night.
Help restock clean plates, cutlery, and glassware back to the service line and bar.
Assist with the end-of-night kitchen deep clean (mopping floors, wiping down counters, and emptying bins).

What We Are Looking For:

A reliable, punctual team player with a strong work ethic.
Previous experience in a kitchen or a washing-up role is a bonus, but full training will be provided!
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy weekend rushes.
A positive attitude and a willingness to get stuck into both food prep and cleaning duties.
Must be available to work Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings.
