General Labourer – Fabrication Workshop

Job Summary

We are looking for a dependable and hardworking General Labourer to join our busy fabrication workshop. The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day running of the workshop by supporting fabricators and welders, handling materials, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring work areas remain safe and organised.

Key Responsibilities

Assist fabricators, welders, and workshop staff with daily tasks
Load, unload, and move steel, materials, and finished products safely
Prepare materials and components for fabrication work
Operate basic hand and power tools when required
Keep the workshop clean, tidy, and free from hazards
Assist with painting steel beams
Support stock handling and material organisation
Follow all workshop health and safety procedures
Carry out general labouring duties as directed by supervisors

Requirements

Previous experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial environment preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced workshop environment
Physically fit and capable of manual handling and heavy lifting
Ability to prioritise and organise workload
Good timekeeping and reliability
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Awareness of workplace health and safety practices
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
