Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced pub environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and culinary arts to develop their skills and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences. The position requires a strong focus on food safety, teamwork, and maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including work surfaces, utensils, and equipment
Follow food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Assist with meal assembly, plating, and presentation to ensure visual appeal
Support other kitchen staff during busy periods and collaborate effectively as part of the team
Monitor stock levels and notify management of any shortages or supplies needed
Adhere to health and safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant setting
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary principles
Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is desirable
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
A genuine passion for food, cooking, and delivering excellent customer service
