Full job description

Tracey House is a warm and welcoming residential care home for older people, situated in Bovey Tracey on the edge of Dartmoor.

We are looking for a kind, experienced and motivated Registered Care Home Manager to lead our 27-bedded home and continue developing a positive, caring and supportive culture.

We want a manager who will lead with compassion, encourage good teamwork, listen to staff, and help people feel confident, respected and appreciated in their roles.

The right person will understand that a happy, well-supported team creates a better home for everyone — residents, families and colleagues.

About the role

As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring residents receive safe, dignified and person-centred care.

You will lead and support the team, promote high standards, maintain CQC compliance, and help create a home where residents feel known, valued and truly cared for.

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience in care home management or senior leadership.
Understands CQC standards and good care practice.
Is approachable, organised and supportive.
Values staff and promotes strong teamwork.
Communicates well with residents, families, staff and professionals.
Leads by example with kindness, confidence and professionalism.
Is passionate about creating a positive culture for both residents and staff.
