Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef/Baker to join our Deli Family. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food production and preparation, with a keen eye for detail and a love for creating delicious baked goods. As a Baker, you will be responsible for baking cakes, traybakes ect. that meet our high standards of quality and taste.

Duties

Prepare and bake a wide range of cakes/traybakes.
Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in flavour and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen to adhere to food safety standards.
Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
Ensure all baked products are presented attractively for display or sale.
Conduct regular quality checks on baked items to ensure they meet our standards.

Skills

Proven experience in a cafe is essential.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Proficiency in food production techniques, particularly in baking.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
A passion for cooking and an eagerness to learn new baking techniques.
