Job Introduction

We are looking for committed and enthusiastic individuals to join as a Post Office Counter Clerk at our store on Port Tennant Road, Swansea.

Job Role:

As a Post Office Assistant you will be at the forefront of our store driving customer service. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for this role as you will be working closely with customers and other members of your team to maximize sales. Although sales are important, we want our customers to enjoy visiting our shop and ultimately come back again, it is your job to provide help and assistance to the customer and ensure they find everything they need whilst they are in our store. Product knowledge is essential for you to respond to customer inquiries and make appropriate recommendations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Greet each customer with a warm and friendly welcome

· Listen to and talk with customers to find out what their needs are

· Lead and have accountability for your shift

· Make sure security procedures are followed during store open and close routines

· Be passionate and knowledgeable about our products and services

· Always be in store, on time, smartly dressed and ready to serve

· Work as part of a team to complete store duties

. Processing Letters and parcels in the correct manner and giving the correct service

. Banking, MoneyGram and Bill payments

· Maintain an accurate stock and cash balance at the end of each shift

About The Company

Kumar Stores runs a network of retail stores within Swansea, Llanelli, Neath, Port Talbot and Bridgend areas.

**Post Office hours are 9am-5pm Monday to Friday**

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
