Full job description

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, reliable, highly motivated individual with excellent customer care skills to join our existing secretarial team. You will be responsible for working within a busy department, working together as a team to help patients, support the doctors and extended multidisciplinary team.

As a member of the secretarial team, you will have Excellent organisational skills, team working and problem solving skills, together with in depth knowledge and experience of working with the general public with a caring approach.

As our chosen administrator you will be expected to be flexible and help with a range of duties,

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who shares our commitment to delivering high quality patient care, and who has the interest and energy to join with us and help develop services to be truly outstanding.

The successful candidate will:

· Be flexible in approach, both with working patterns and duties performed.

· Working hours are 30 hours per week 7.5 per day worked over 4 days between Monday and Friday (Tuesday or Thursday would be the non-working day).

· Be professional at all times with a kind and caring disposition that satisfies the needs of our patient cohort.

· Be able to respond to the various demands and challenging circumstances of general practice.

· Have secretarial and minute taking experience will be an advantage.

· Have experience of working in a busy office environment and working under pressure, ideally within a large GP surgery.

· Have a good understanding of GP surgery processes and procedures.

· Have good IT skills, ideally with experience of clinical software such as Emis Web.
