Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Manager to join our fast-paced, high-energy team.
In this hands-on leadership role, you will work closely with the Head Chef and Restaurant Manager to drive excellence across all kitchen operations. This is an ideal position for a culinary professional who thrives in a busy environment and is looking to take ownership of both the creative and operational sides of a successful kitchen.
* Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily flow of the kitchen, managing the pass and ensuring consistent, high-quality output during peak service.
* Hands-on Culinary Contribution: Actively participate in food preparation, including frying and line cooking.
* Inventory & Supplier Management: Manage stock levels, place orders, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality ingredients.
* Maintenance & Oversight: Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained and coordinate repairs as needed to keep operations running smoothly.

Compensation:
We offer a competitive starting salary of £30,000 per annum, with final compensation packages tailored to reflect your individual experience and expertise. This will be discussed in detail during the interview stage.

Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities, including food preparation, cooking, and serving processes.
- Oversee the management of kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste.
- Develop and implement menus in collaboration with head chefs or culinary team members.
- Maintain quality control over all dishes served, ensuring consistency and presentation standards are met.
- Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service and fostering a positive team environment.
- Manage operational budgets, optimise labour costs, and improve overall efficiency within the kitchen.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, serving, and food preparation within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Demonstrable management and supervising experience in a fast-paced culinary environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Previous experience in restaurant or kitchen management roles is essential.
- Culinary expertise complemented by hospitality skills such as leadership and team motivation.
- Experience with barista duties or bar management is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to lead a team effectively under pressure.
- Passion for delivering high-quality service and maintaining exceptional standards in food presentation and safety.
