Urgent Requirement – Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver, Kwan Yick UK Ltd.

We are pleased to announce that a fantastic job role has become available for a highly motivated individual to join the Warehouse Team at Kwan Yick UK Ltd. as ‘Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver’ on a six month fixed-term contract.

Offering the highest quality brands, we are one of the largest suppliers of Oriental foods, sauces and packaging materials to the Chinese catering, wholesale and retail markets in the UK and Ireland.

The successful candidate will;

Have previously worked in a busy, fast-paced warehouse environment.
Has a current and valid counterbalance forklift licence. It would also be preferable if the candidate had a current and valid reach truck licence.
Have experience working with SAP.
Be able to maintain current knowledge of products and stock locations within the warehouse.
Be able to handball a large amount of containers in line with the Companies’ goods in process.
Be able to accurately pick stock.
Be a positive thinker who is able to solve problems quickly.
Take pride in their work and in a manner that prioritises health and safety.
Have the ability to safely handle the movement of supplies from the warehouse to vehicles. This includes a requirement to load and unload trailers safely.
Be able to assist the lorry team when required, and have the ability to safely handle the movement of heavy goods from Company Lorries to a customer.
Be able to work accurately and efficiently.
Be able to work on their own initiative, and is confident in their own decision-making.
Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Be confident in their ability to communicate with various departments across the Company.
Be able to maintain professionalism with customers and colleagues.
Be able to adapt to change.
Be able to follow instructions.
Have the current and valid right to work in the UK.

Please note: the Company are currently hiring "Warehouse Operatives/Forklift Drivers" to join both the day shift and the night shift Warehouse Teams. Both job roles are offered on a fixed-term basis of six months.

The weekly working hours for the day shift are 48 per week (Monday - Friday, 06:00 - 18:00) although, there may be some requirement to work overtime, depending on business need.
