Full job description

Join a dedicated team where you'll take pride in creating a cleaner, more sustainable environment while building your career with comprehensive training and development opportunities.

Hours: 20 per week

As a Waste Operative, you will carry out a variety of tasks, safely and professionally and to a high standard.

Duties:

To maintain a safe and clean environment and ensure the cleanliness of the shopping centre and the service areas to a very high standard
Emptying 1100 litre bins around service areas internal and external
Jet washing bins
Completing daily forms to support work carried out
Careful usage and maintenance of equipment provided
Compliance with all work-related Health and Safety regulations at all times
To assist with the delivery and implementation of high-quality waste collection and segregation
To promote and support the principles of waste minimisation and recycling, and improve environmental cleanliness

Essential Requirements:

Enthusiastic to learn and work as part of a team
Positive 'can do' attitude with ability to show initiative
Excellent Customer Service skills

Desirable Requirements:

Current FLT Licence
Driving Licence
Previous experience in a similar role including cleaning and use of cleaning machines
Knowledge of recycling and waste streams
Use of Compactor / Baler Machines
Maintaining cleanliness in service areas using site machinery

Ability to champion, support and deliver recycling initiatives
Ability to work unsupervised and take responsibility
To be able to communicate with the public at all levels
Full training will be given as part of the job
