Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Restaurant Chef to lead our culinary team and deliver exceptional dining experiences. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary expertise, and a commitment to food safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase creativity in food preparation while managing daily kitchen operations in a busy restaurant environment.

Duties

Oversee the daily operation of the kitchen, ensuring smooth and efficient service
Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to restaurant standards and recipes
Supervise kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in compliance with health regulations
Manage food production processes to ensure consistency and quality across all menu items
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise kitchen efficiency
Develop new menu ideas in line with current culinary trends and customer preferences

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment with a strong background in food preparation and cooking
Supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting, demonstrating leadership and team management skills
Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
Experience in food production, including managing multiple dishes simultaneously under pressure
Familiarity with hospitality operations and serving procedures is desirable
Previous restaurant experience that highlights culinary creativity and attention to detail is essential
Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and service

Pay: £12.21-£19.28 per hour
