Your Role

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join our Commercial Finance team in Altrincham. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting our business by managing customer accounts, building strong relationships, and helping to drive financial performance.

You'll be part of a collaborative, high-performing team where your contribution truly matters—helping us deliver a seamless, customer-first experience across the business.

As a Credit Controller, you'll take ownership of your own portfolio of accounts, ensuring a proactive and professional approach to credit management. You will:

Build strong, positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
Manage and reduce outstanding debt, ensuring timely collections
Resolve customer queries quickly and efficiently with a customer-first mindset
Monitor and manage credit limits in line with company policy
Accurately record customer communications and payment promises
Carry out bank reconciliations, cash posting, and allocation
Provide regular updates and reports to the Credit Control Manager
Contribute to continuous improvement and team success

Strong Excel and IT skills
Excellent organisation and time management

Confident communication skills—both written and verbal

Be able to build trusted relationships across teams, take ownership and pride in your work and thrive in a collaborative, team-focused environment.
Experience in Credit control would be beneficial
