Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Motor Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of motor vehicles and equipment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your mechanical expertise in a dynamic environment, ensuring vehicles and machinery operate safely and efficiently. A strong focus on customer service and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive inspections of vehicles and machinery using schematics and technical manuals
Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and other mechanical components
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out assembly, repairs, and modifications
Interpret technical diagrams and schematics to diagnose issues accurately
Carry out equipment repair and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance
Assist with the installation of new parts or systems as required
Conduct heavy lifting when handling parts or components during repair procedures
Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly

Experience

Proven experience in vehicle or machinery repair as a Motor Mechanic or similar role
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques
Experience in maintenance routines and equipment repair programmes
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
Previous experience working with customer service teams is advantageous
