Full job description

Alternative Educational Support Services Ltd are Alternative Provision suppliers currently working with schools, Pupil Referral Units and LEA’s providing learner led educational though media and sport, delivering a variety of different subjects. The provisions between 1 and 3 days a week working with KS3 & KS4 pupils who have a variety of special educational needs.

We are currently looking for staff to lead and assist with various Alternative Provisions within our Sports, Media and Outdoor provisions.

You will work with pupils in a learner led environment encouraging them to develop core skills in English and Maths. Supporting the provision lead helping with course delivery and assisting with lesson plans.

Job Description:

An exciting new opportunity for you to join our Alternative Provision Team. You will be mainly working within children in KS3 & KS4, delivering lessons and out of school activities.

Learning Mentor Job Role:

Plan the delivery of programs, lessons, and activities (i.e. Curriculum Delivery, Outer-School Clubs, Educational Programs and CPD).
Motivating and inspiring children aged from 11 to 16 years of age, using the engine of sport.
Engaging and liaising with parents and teachers regarding the progress of their child's development; physically, mentally, and socially.
Ensure everybody engages with in their provision.
Make sure that yourself and the surrounding team are compliant with all policies and procedures.

Learning Mentor Requirements:

Experience working with children in a school or an educational environment.
Be well organised and demonstrate leadership skills.
To be able to work as a lead or assistant.
A minimum Level 3 qualification in relevant subject, Activity Leadership or Child Care (relevant routes accepted).

Pay: £23,130.00 per year

Education:

A-Level or equivalent (required)
