Overview
We are seeking a diligent and motivated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, supporting the culinary team to deliver exceptional service. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience within the food and hospitality industry, whether you have prior restaurant, hotel, or culinary experience or are eager to develop your skills in a professional setting. The role is paid and suitable for those who are reliable, hardworking, and committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Responsibilities

Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including washing vegetables and organising ingredients.
Support chefs by ensuring all kitchen equipment and utensils are clean, sterilised, and stored correctly.
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchenware efficiently to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
Keep the kitchen area tidy and organised throughout the shift, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Assist with waste disposal and recycling procedures in line with environmental policies.
Follow all hygiene standards diligently to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or culinary environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations is desirable.
Strong organisational skills with an eye for cleanliness and detail.
Ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards learning new skills.
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings or weekends if necessary.
