Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Chef/Cook to join our kitchen team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking dishes that delight our guests and uphold our restaurant’s standards. Your kitchen skills will shine as you supervise kitchen operations when you're in, manage food production, and ensure a smooth, efficient workflow. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise, inspire your team, and contribute to creating memorable dining experiences in a lively hospitality environment. Expected to serve the fixed menu to a high standard with consistency to build a clientele with consistent product.

Responsibilities

Food preparation and cooking activities, ensuring all dishes meet quality and presentation standards.
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a collaborative team environment.
Manage food safety protocols diligently, maintaining cleanliness, proper storage, and hygiene practices in compliance with health regulations.
Oversee food production processes from food preparation to final plating, ensuring efficiency and consistency.
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving of orders and excellent customer service.
Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and control waste to optimize kitchen operations.
Maintain a positive work environment by motivating team members and encouraging continuous improvement.

Experience

Proven experience in a fast-paced kitchen or restaurant setting.
Strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Extensive kitchen experience with knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Experience in hospitality environments where serving guests is a priority.
Familiarity with restaurant operations, including managing food production and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
