Full job description

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Joiner to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will carry out a wide range of joinery tasks across both occupied and void (unoccupied) tenanted properties, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Install and hang fire doors in compliance with current safety regulations and standards
Carry out general joinery repairs and maintenance work
Undertake basic multi-trade repairs as required (e.g., minor patching, adjustments, or fittings)
Work effectively within occupied homes, maintaining professionalism and respect for tenants at all times
Complete works in void properties to prepare them for new occupants
Collaborate with the maintenance team and external contractors to deliver efficient maintenance services
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company procedures
Accurately complete job records, reports, and documentation

Skills and Experience

Proven experience in maintenance joinery within a domestic or social housing environment
Competence in fire door installation and compliance requirements
Experience fitting kitchens, windows, and structural joinery elements such as stud walls
Ability to carry out a range of general repairs and maintenance tasks
Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Strong communication skills and a professional approach when working in tenants’ homes

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Carpentry and Joinery (required)

Additional Requirements

Full UK driving licence (essential)
Ability to pass relevant background checks if required
Flexible approach to work and willingness to support other trades when needed

Pay: £32,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
