Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Lorry Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely across designated routes. This role offers an opportunity to work with a reputable organisation committed to high standards of safety and customer service. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a passion for driving and delivering excellence.

Duties

Operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies.
Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals at destinations.
Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured properly during transit.
Conduct pre-journey vehicle inspections, including checking tyres, brakes, lights, and other essential systems.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance reports.
Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules, delays, or issues encountered on the road.
Adhere strictly to all legal requirements related to commercial driving and transportation regulations.

Skills

Proven experience in driving flatbed lorries or similar commercial vehicles.
Strong understanding of driving regulations and safety protocols within the UK.
Previous delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
Excellent organisational skills to manage schedules and route planning efficiently.
Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo safely.
Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members professionally.
A valid UK driving licence suitable for the vehicle type, with a clean driving record. This role offers an engaging environment for experienced drivers committed to safety, punctuality, and excellent service delivery.
