Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Solar Service Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing solar energy systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within the renewable energy sector, applying mechanical and electrical expertise to support sustainable solutions. The position involves hands-on work in various environments, requiring technical proficiency and a proactive approach.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on solar energy systems.
Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues using specialised tools and equipment.
Repair and replace faulty components, including electrical wiring, inverters, and mounting structures.
Utilise hand tools and power tools to perform repairs and modifications.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
Document all service activities accurately in accordance with company procedures.
Assist in the installation of new solar systems, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience with solar PV, battery storage and EV chargers.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
2391 Inspection & Testing
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude towards troubleshooting issues.
Valid UK driving licence is essential due to travel requirements for site visits and installations.

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
