Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Workers to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in various care settings. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those in your care by delivering personalized support with kindness, patience, and professionalism. This rewarding position offers opportunities to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness. You will work closely with clients to promote independence, safety, and well-being while fostering a warm and respectful environment.

Duties

Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to ensure comfort and dignity.
Provide patient care including medication reminders, health monitoring, and basic nursing tasks as needed.
Support clients with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs to promote healthy living.
Engage clients in meaningful activities that encourage social interaction and mental stimulation.
Manage behavioral challenges with patience and effective behavior management techniques.
Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
Administer medication following prescribed instructions under supervision or as trained.
Support clients with dementia or Alzheimer’s care by implementing specialized techniques tailored to their needs.
Document care activities accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare teams regarding client status.

Skills

Proven experience in assisted living or home care environments demonstrating compassionate caregiving skills.
Strong patient care skills with knowledge of nursing home procedures and hospice or dementia care practices.
Familiarity with medication administration, first aid, and basic nursing tasks.
Ability to handle heavy lifting safely when assisting clients with mobility or transfers.
Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Ability to manage challenging behaviors empathetically while maintaining professionalism.
Knowledge of meal preparation tailored to dietary restrictions or health conditions.
Experience in child or senior care is a plus, demonstrating versatility in caregiving roles.
