Location: Bouncing Beans Nursery

Hours: 2 days per week | 8:00am – 5:00pm (one 5:30pm finish per week)
Job Type: Part-time, Permanent

Essential Requirements

Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
Minimum 3 years’ experience working with children aged 9 months to 4 years (excluding student placements)
Passion for early years education and child development
Ability to build strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues
Positive, caring and team-focused approach

The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Practitioner to join our team on a part-time basis, initially based within our baby room. There is also an option for a practitioner with suitable experience to work this position as a part time Room Lead.

Our baby room caters for a maximum of 6 children aged 9 months to 2 years, supported by a minimum of two staff members, allowing for high-quality care and meaningful interactions.

From September, this role will move into our 2–3 year old room (Goslings), which has a maximum of 9 children with a minimum of two staff members, with additional support staff where required for children with SEND.

This role includes key person responsibilities, and you will be provided with dedicated time away from the room during working hours for planning, observations and maintaining children’s records.

There is also flexibility to work additional hours covering holidays, sickness, absences or to enhance our ratios in other age groups within the nursery, should you wish.

What We’re Looking For

Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years (essential)
Minimum 3 years’ experience in an early years setting (excluding placements)
Experience caring for children aged 9 months to 4 years
Warm, nurturing and patient approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Passion for creating engaging learning opportunities through play
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s wellbeing
Interest in The Curiosity Approach® or child-led learning philosophies
