First Line CCTV Operator

4 On / 4 Off Days & Evenings Shift Pattern

About the Role

We are looking for a professional, reliable, and proactive First Line CCTV Operator to join our busy Remote Video Receiving Centre (RVRC).

As a First Line CCTV Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring CCTV activations from client sites, assessing incidents, and taking appropriate action in accordance with company procedures. You will also act as a key point of contact for clients, handling telephone calls and ensuring accurate recording of information.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and respond to CCTV alarm activations from client premises.
Review live and recorded CCTV footage to assess incidents and determine appropriate action.
Follow established operational procedures and escalation protocols.
Communicate effectively with clients, keyholders, emergency services, and colleagues.
Handle inbound telephone enquiries professionally and efficiently.
Record and update incident details accurately using company systems.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements.
Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times.
Work independently while contributing effectively as part of the wider operations team.

Working Hours & Shift Pattern

Our Central Station operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, delivering critical monitoring services to clients across multiple sectors.

This is a permanent full-time position, averaging 30.5 hours per week, working a rolling 4 On / 4 Off Days and Evenings shift pattern.

Shift Pattern

Monday to Friday 14:00 to 23:00 8 working hours 1-hour unpaid break
Saturday & Sunday 10:00 to 22:00 10.5 working hours 1.5-hour unpaid break

This role includes weekend working and attendance on Bank and Public Holidays (Including Christmas, New Years, Ramadan etc) where rostered as part of the standard shift pattern.

Salary & Benefits

Salary : £24,240 per annum

This is a salaried position, paid monthly on the last working day of each calendar month.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking individuals who can remain calm under pressure, demonstrate sound judgement, and maintain a professional approach in all situations.

The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, security-minded, and capable of working in a dynamic operational environment with minimal supervision.

Mandatory Requirement

Valid SIA CCTV Licence, SIA Door Supervisor Licence, or SIA Security Guarding Licence

Essential Requirements

Good IT and computer literacy
High level of attention to detail
Ability to follow procedures accurately
Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Desirable Experience

Previous experience within a CCTV Monitoring Centre, Alarm Receiving Centre, Security Operations Centre, or Control Room environment
Previous customer service or telephone-based experience

Training & Vetting

Comprehensive training will be provided to ensure you become fully competent in all operational procedures, systems, and customer service requirements.
Successful candidates will be required to:
Complete all internal training and competency assessments.
Pass the relevant screening and vetting procedures.
Provide a fully checkable 5-year employment history.
Maintain the required SIA licence throughout employment & always have it on their person with easy access to it..
