( this job is for the rent of a table and shop space with the use of the shop name with a 70/30 ratio of earnings )

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dog Groomer to join our professional pet care team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to a variety of dog breeds, ensuring each pet looks and feels their best. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly environment where animal welfare and customer satisfaction are our top priorities. The Dog Groomer will play a vital role in maintaining the health, hygiene, and appearance of our canine clients.

Responsibilities

Perform grooming procedures including bathing, trimming, clipping, and styling according to breed standards and customer preferences
Assess each dog’s coat, skin condition, and overall health prior to grooming; report any concerns to pet owner
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of grooming tools and work area to ensure a hygienic environment
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs and aftercare advice
Handle dogs safely and gently, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process
Manage appointment schedules efficiently to minimise wait times and maximise client satisfaction
Keep detailed records of each dog’s grooming history and special requirements

Requirements

Proven experience in dog grooming and animal care
Knowledge of different breeds’ grooming standards and techniques
Strong animal care skills with a compassionate approach towards pets and their owners
Ability to handle dogs safely, including those that may be anxious or difficult to manage
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients
Physical strength for heavy lifting when handling larger dogs or equipment; stamina for standing during long grooming sessions
Organised with attention to detail to ensure high standards of hygiene and presentation
A genuine love for animals coupled with a professional attitude towards pet care responsibilities and a great attitude towards working within a team

Pay: £20.00-£30.00 per hour
