Job Overview
We at Hughes Eurospar are a family run independent retailer and are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join the team in our butchery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within our butchery production environment, contributing to the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes. The successful candidate will be passionate about food, possess relevant experience, and be committed to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Duties

Stocking counters each day with a range of products and presenting the same to a high qualilty.
Manufacturing of sausages and burgers.
Handle butchery tasks, including portioning and trimming meats as required, weighing and pricing.
Ensure all food safety protocols are adhered to, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
Assist with stock rotation, inventory checks, and ordering supplies to ensure smooth butchery operations.
Providing good customer service and relationships with customers. Being able to advise on cuts, cooking suggestions and fulfilling special requests.
Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to minimise hazards within the butchery environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of food handling and presentation.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative independently.
Ability to work Saturdays, flexibility on a rota basis.
