Full job description

Role: Credit Controller (Full-Time, Permanent) - Part Time will be considered for the right candidate.

Based: Office based role in M34 3SH (no hybrid or WFH roles available)

Hours: 8:45 – 530pm Monday – Thursday & 8:45 – 3:55pm Friday

Package: FTE£24,720 basic salary with FT O.T.E £35,000+ (uncapped commissions)

RVA Surveyors are an award-winning business rates reduction specialist, helping businesses across England & Wales reduce their commercial rates liabilities.

We’re looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join our growing team in Denton.

This is not a passive admin role. It’s a fast-paced, commercially focused collections role where you’ll take ownership of your ledger, build professional client relationships, and drive successful fee recovery.

If you’re confident on the phone, organised, commercially aware, and motivated by results and commission — this role offers genuine earning potential and long-term stability.

The Role:

You’ll manage your own portfolio of client accounts, ensuring prompt collection of outstanding success fees while maintaining professional and commercially effective communication.

This role involves a mixture of phone-based collections work, account management, query resolution, and proactive debtor management.

What You’ll Be Doing:

· Managing your own debtor ledger end-to-end

· Chasing outstanding payments via phone and email

· Building professional relationships with clients

· Negotiating payment resolutions effectively

· Resolving invoice and account queries quickly

· Keeping accurate records of all communications

· Identifying potential payment risks early

· Supporting wider team collection targets and performance

Ideal Experience

· Previous experience in Credit Control, Collections, or Accounts Receivable

· Experience working within a B2B environment

· Strong communication and negotiation skills

· Confident telephone manner

· Highly organised with strong attention to detail

· Comfortable working in a target-driven environment

· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook

· Sage experience beneficial but not essential
