Stock Controller – Fresh Flowers & Warehouse Operations

The Flower Connection is the North’s premier wholesale supplier of fresh flowers, plants, and sundries. We are a fast-paced B2B online distribution business supplying professional florists who rely on us for quality, accuracy, and consistency.

The Role

This is not just a warehouse role — it is a customer focused, standards-driven position at the center of our operation.

Stock control determines the accuracy and quality of everything that leaves our business. If this role is done well, our customers receive the quality and service they expect.

We are looking for someone who:

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate stock control and support regular stock takes
Carry out quality checks to ensure all products meet required standards
Receive and process deliveries of flowers, plants, and sundries
Verify quantities and quality on all incoming goods
Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and operationally efficient
Pick click-and-collect orders accurately and on time
Serve customers professionally at our collection point

What We’re Looking For

High attention to detail and a commitment to doing the job properly
Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent performance
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
Organised and methodical in your approach
Positive attitude and willingness to take responsibility
Previous warehouse or stock control experience is helpful but not essential

Hours & Pay

Working hours: 5:00am – 1:00pm
Working pattern: Monday to Saturday, with Sunday and one weekday off
Pay: £13.50 per hour

This role requires someone who is dependable and ready to work at the start of an early shift.

Some flexibility is required during peak seasonal periods or where delivery delays occur. This is not frequent, but it is part of maintaining high service standards for our customers.

Stock is accurate and well organised
Quality issues are identified before they reach customers
Orders are picked correctly, first time
The warehouse is clean, efficient, and ready for the next day
Customers are served quickly and professionally
You are a good team player and care about the peson next to you
