Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dental Nurse/Receptionist to join our dental practice. This role involves providing exceptional patient care, supporting the dental team, and managing front desk responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, organisational abilities, and a compassionate approach to patient service. The position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a friendly and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality dental care.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and ensure they feel comfortable during their visit
Assist the dental team with chairside support during procedures
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and rescheduling efficiently
Handle patient records accurately using Dentally IT systems
Provide clear information to patients regarding treatments and post-care instructions
Answer phone calls, respond to enquiries, and manage correspondence professionally
Maintain a clean and organised reception area at all times
Support administrative tasks such as billing, invoicing, and processing payments
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and health regulations

Experience

Previous experience in a dental or healthcare environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Strong patient care skills with a friendly and empathetic manner
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication with patients and team members
Basic IT skills for managing patient records and appointment systems
Excellent organisational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with patients and colleagues
Knowledge of nursing principles is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
