Full job description

Croft House Care Home is a friendly 29-bed residential care home providing high-quality care and support for older people, including those living with dementia. We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Domestic Assistant to join our team.

About the Role

As a Domestic Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring our home is clean, safe, and welcoming for residents, visitors, and staff. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the home while following infection prevention and control procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning residents' bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas.
Maintaining excellent standards of hygiene and cleanliness throughout the home.
Following Infection Prevention and Control policies and procedures.
Working in accordance with COSHH regulations.
Safely using and storing cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Supporting a positive and homely environment for residents.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience in a cleaning, housekeeping, or domestic role.
Good understanding of Infection Prevention and Control.
Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
Excellent attention to detail.
Reliable, hardworking, and able to work independently.
Ability to work alternative weekends.

Desirable

Experience working within a care home, healthcare, or residential setting.
Understanding of the needs of older people and those living with dementia.
