The Assistant M&E Operations Manager will support the strategic initiatives and objectives of the M&E department, as well as supervising day to day operations. All members of the department work together to create memorable moments for guests, in line with both company and hotel-specific service standards, and collaborate closely with other departments within the hotel. You will act as an ambassador for your own hotel and the wider Leonardo Hotels estate, demonstrating the company vision, mission and values. At all times, you will treat others around you with respect, dignity and fairness.

As Assistant Meetings and Events Manager you’ll be the backbone of the team as you’ll be working with your Head of Department to inspire and motivate your colleagues, ensuring that all guests have memorable experiences with us. Take a deep breath because you’ll be stepping into a busy role! We set high standards for ourselves to surprise and delight our guests, so you’ll need to be passionately involved in the M&E department’s smooth running.

This role requires flexibility to work morning, mid and late shifts, depending on business needs.

The role involves leading the Meetings & Events team, ensuring rooms and event spaces are prepared to a high standard, coordinating with clients and internal departments, managing event requirements and last-minute changes, and ensuring an excellent guest experience throughout each event.

You will also support the team during busy periods, conduct shift briefings and handovers, resolve operational issues and ensure high standards of service, presentation and health & safety are consistently maintained. The role will also include hands-on involvement in evening events, including dinner service.

The ideal candidate will have previous hospitality or events experience, strong leadership and communication skills, excellent attention to detail and a proactive, customer-focused approach.

Coach and train new team members- we want everyone to enjoy their new role
Undertake Duty Manager shifts as required- this is a great way to get out and about in the hotel and meet new people
Have prior experience using Audio-Visual (AV)
