Full job description

Role Profile

This role will be responsible for undertaking work in connection with the issuing of Stores material and the maintenance of stock, including receiving goods and carrying out deliveries and collection of material to and from all departments on site, suppliers and customers.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Participate in a positive and proactive EHS culture across the site.
Working alongside the Operational Leaders and SIOP team to ensure that jobs are launched on time to the shop floor.
Ensure that all projects are kitted with the right material in preparation for the launch on to the shop floor.
Moving components through the production areas at the required time to achieve 100% on time delivery with customers.
Attend the daily production shop floor meetings to gain a thorough knowledge of the delivery schedules and customer commitment dates.
Recording Goods inwards/outwards using Company software.
Take delivery of goods delivered into the Stores area with the use of forklift trucks. Ensuring goods are checked off in an accurate and timely manner and check for damages and quantity. Update computer system to enable accurate stock levels
Place materials away in stores following any deliveries where necessary
Ensure materials are out and ready for collection/delivery as per the internal schedule.
Assist with stock checks when required
Keep stores and yard area clean and tidy and adhere to Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
Identify, log and report any scrap that is received into the Stores area (both internally and externally)
Ensure safe loading and unloading of materials onto and from vehicles, assisting colleagues in this task where necessary
Manage any skips on site, ensuring that materials are correctly disposed of in the appropriate skips to maximise recycling possibilities

Participate in Continuous/Business Improvement initiatives

Assisting with other Stores related tasks as and when required (e.g. packing, driving)

Person Specification

Experience of working in a similar role, involving work in Stores, driving and Yard responsibilities.
A knowledge of good practice relating to Health and Safety Regulations
Knowledge of waste recycling
Computer literate and knowledge of stock systems
Good listener and team player
Methodical and organised with the ability to work on own initiative
A Forklift Truck licence would be a distinct advantage
Flexible approach to working arrangements
