Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Chef to join our thriving kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food and is eager to develop their skills within a professional kitchen setting. The Line Chef will work closely with other kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
Assist in the organisation and setup of workstations to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times, ensuring compliance with health standards.
Monitor food quality during preparation and cooking, making adjustments as necessary.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely delivery of dishes during service periods.
Assist in meal preparation for special events or menu changes as required.
Support the overall efficiency of the kitchen by adhering to operational procedures.

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment.
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards.
Experience in meal preparation and working with diverse ingredients.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in professional kitchens.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not essential
Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills and a positive attitude.
Flexibility to adapt to changing menus or operational requirements.
