Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator to join our small childcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the development and well-being of young children and children with additional needs creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong interest in early childhood education and childcare to make a positive impact on children's lives while developing their management and leadership skills.

Monday to Thursday

7.30-6pm

Term time only

41 weeks per year (38 week academic year plus 3 weeks holiday camp)

Duties

Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with early childhood education statutory requirement.
Supervise and support children during play, mealtimes, and rest periods, ensuring their safety at all times
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork
Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment suitable for young children
Monitor children's progress and provide feedback to parents during regular meetings
Assist with the organisation of daily routines and special events within the nursery.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and nursery policies

Experience

Previous experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting as a qualified level 3 for a minimum of two years.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare practices including the working with sen children
Proven management or leadership experience within a childcare environment is advantageous
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating initiative.
