Full job description

Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Meridian School 20 hours per week on a Term-Time only basis. The Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Chef Manager and team members in preparing and cooking meals, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen, and ensuring that all food safety and sanitation standards are met. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and service , excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Chef Manager and kitchen team in preparing and serving meals
Clean and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
Follow all food safety and health and safety policies
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen
Assist with food preparation and service
Assist with dishwashing and cleaning duties as needed
Perform other duties as assigned by the Chef Manager

Qualifications:

Food safety qualification ( Training provided)
Previous experience working in a kitchen or food service environment preferred
Knowledge of food safety and health and safety
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work as part of a team
