Marketing & Events Executive

Location: Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham (Office Based)

Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week

Salary: From £27,976.00

Parallux is a new events company specialising in the creation of immersive seasonal experiences. Our flagship project is the launch of a brand-new Winter Light Trail at The Belfry Hotel & Resort, with ambitions to expand into additional venues and event concepts across the UK.

This is a unique opportunity to join the business from the very beginning and play a key role in shaping both the event and the Parallux brand. We are looking for someone creative, organised and driven who is excited by marketing, events and creating memorable experiences for thousands of guests.

Marketing will be at the heart of this role, but you will also be heavily involved in the planning and delivery of the event itself. From creating engaging social media content and growing the Parallux brand, through to helping manage staffing, suppliers and ticketing, no two days will be the same.

This isn’t a large corporate environment with rigid job descriptions. We’re looking for someone who enjoys bringing ideas to the table, taking ownership of projects and helping build something special from the ground up. If you’re someone who loves creating content, enjoys being involved in live events and wants to make a genuine impact, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

Marketing Responsibilities

Managing and developing Parallux’s social media channels across multiple platforms.
Creating engaging content including photography, videography, graphics and written content.
Planning, filming and editing short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook and YouTube.
Appearing in social media content where appropriate.
Managing and developing the Parallux website.
Creating marketing materials including brochures, flyers, adverts, proposals and promotional content.
Supporting SEO and improving website performance.
Managing email marketing campaigns and customer communications.
Developing creative marketing campaigns to drive ticket sales and increase brand awareness.
Monitoring campaign performance and reporting on key marketing metrics.
Building customer engagement strategies that encourage repeat visits and long-term brand loyalty.
Exploring new marketing opportunities, partnerships and promotional ideas.

Event Responsibilities

Supporting the planning and delivery of the Winter Light Trail.
Assisting with event logistics and operational planning.
Managing supplier relationships and coordinating contractors.
Supporting staffing plans, rotas and workforce coordination.
Assisting with ticketing systems, customer enquiries and CRM management.
Supporting health and safety administration, including event documentation and compliance records.
Managing bar stock ordering and inventory control.
Assisting with event signage, guest information and customer communications.
Supporting event setup, live operation and de-rig.
Working alongside the wider team to continually improve the guest experience.

Typical Day-to-Day Tasks

Creating and scheduling social media content.
Filming behind-the-scenes videos during event builds.
Capturing photography and video content during live event nights.
Editing TikToks, Instagram Reels and promotional videos.
Updating the Parallux website with new content and news.
Writing blogs and event updates.
Managing SEO improvements.
Monitoring ticket sales and marketing performance.
Coordinating suppliers and contractors.
Ordering stock and supporting operational planning.
Updating staffing rotas.
Assisting with health and safety documentation.
Supporting the day-to-day planning of the event.

About You

Comfortable working both in the office and on live event sites.
Confident using social media professionally.
Happy appearing in front of the camera when required.
Enthusiastic about creating engaging video content.

Skills & Experience

Previous experience in marketing, events, content creation or social media management would be advantageous. However, attitude, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are just as important.

TikTok Business
Google Analytics
SEO tools
CRM platforms
Ticketing systems

A full UK driving licence is desirable, as there will be regular opportunities to attend event sites and create content on location.
