This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a diverse and complex estate within one of Buckinghamshire's most popular visitor attractions.

At Odds Farm Park, no two days are the same. From buildings and infrastructure to attractions, events, public spaces, grounds, utilities and our mobile home estate, there is always something to improve, maintain or develop.

We are looking for a Facilities & Estate Manager who can challenge the status quo, introduce smarter ways of working, and lead our facilities function to the next level. You'll need to be adaptable, practical, resilient and comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on operational delivery.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who sees opportunity where others see problems.

Role Overview

The Facilities & Estate Manager is a key management position responsible for the strategic and operational management of all facilities, maintenance, infrastructure and estate services across Odds Farm Park. The role has overall responsibility for the upkeep, safety, compliance, presentation and long-term development of all buildings, grounds, attractions, utilities, public areas, staff facilities, the mobile home estate and public rights of way. The successful candidate will combine strong practical maintenance expertise with excellent leadership, planning and organisational skills, balancing hands-on delivery with effective scheduling, contractor management, budget control and project leadership. As a member of the management team, the Facilities & Estate Manager will also support the wider operation through Duty Management and First Aid responsibilities as required.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Facilities & Estate function across the entire Odds Farm Park estate.
Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance schedules.
Manage the Facilities & Estate budget, expenditure and forecasting.
Plan, prioritise and schedule maintenance activities and projects.
Undertake and oversee hands-on maintenance activities.
Coordinate and supervise external contractors and suppliers.
Develop and maintain efficient systems, processes and records.
Identify and implement technology solutions to improve operational efficiency.
Ensure workshops, stores and maintenance compounds are organised and safe.
Lead routine inspections and statutory compliance checks.
Ensure RAMS, permits and contractor procedures are maintained.
Support seasonal events, installations and operational projects.
Work closely with the CEO and senior management team on estate improvements.
Manage utility monitoring and reporting processes.
Oversee maintenance and presentation of the mobile home estate grounds.
Ensure public footpaths remain safe and well maintained.
Manage, support and develop the Facilities Assistant.
Maintain accurate maintenance, compliance and expenditure records.
Act as a Duty Manager as required.
Maintain First Aid competency and provide First Aid support when required.
Support the wider management team during peak periods, events, emergencies and business-critical situations.

Person Specification

This role would suit an experienced Facilities Manager, Estates Manager, Operations Manager or Site Manager who enjoys a varied, hands-on environment and is looking for the opportunity to take ownership of a unique and diverse estate.

Essential Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 10 years’ experience in facilities, estates, maintenance or property management.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a management or supervisory role with responsibility for leading and developing staff.
Proven experience managing maintenance operations across a diverse estate, site or property portfolio.
Demonstrable experience managing departmental budgets, controlling expenditure and delivering value for money.
Experience planning and scheduling maintenance activities, preventative maintenance programmes and improvement projects.
Experience managing contractors, suppliers and service providers.
Sound knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and practical application of HSE guidance.
Strong organisational and workload planning skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and Word.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Willingness to participate in Duty Management responsibilities and undertake First Aid duties when required.

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

Relevant qualification in Facilities Management, Building Services, Construction, Engineering or a related discipline.
IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
First Aid at Work qualification.
Experience working within a visitor attraction, leisure, hospitality, tourism, agricultural or estate environment.
