Job Overview

Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Fitter – Bristol | £24 per Hour

D&J Engineering Services Ltd is seeking an experienced and reliable Mechanical Engineer / Mechanical Fitter to join our team for an ongoing project based in Bristol.

This is a hands-on site-based position suited to someone with strong mechanical fitting experience who is confident working with industrial equipment, machinery and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

Carry out mechanical installation, fitting, assembly and maintenance works.
Install, align and adjust mechanical components and equipment.
Perform planned and reactive mechanical maintenance where required.
Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
Work from engineering drawings, specifications and site instructions.
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Ensure all work is completed to the required quality and safety standards.
Work closely with supervisors, engineers and other trades on site.
Follow all site Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
Maintain a professional standard of workmanship throughout the project.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Mechanical Engineer, Maintenance Fitter or similar industrial mechanical role.
Strong practical mechanical knowledge and fault-finding ability.
Experience working in an industrial, engineering or construction environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Relevant mechanical qualifications/tickets are advantageous.
Valid CSCS/CCNSG or relevant site safety certification preferred.
Reliable, punctual and professional.
Right to work in the UK.

Location: Bristol

Pay: £24.00 per hour

Start: ASAP
