Full job description

Overview
We are seeking 2 compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team one DAY & ONE NIGHT. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes or within their own homes, ensuring their wellbeing and independence are maintained. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive difference in people's lives through personalised care and assistance.

1. To Maintain high standards of care in keeping with Seaham Care Ltd Philosophy and its policies and procedures.

2. To assist clients with activities of daily living as required whilst Maintaining privacy, dignity, and independence at all times.

3. To provide assistance to clients with eating/drinking as required.

4. To observe the dietary intake of the clients and report any change to the Person in charge as soon as possible.

5. To be available to talk/listen to clients as required and where necessary and relay information to the Senior Staff. To be aware of the policy regarding confidentiality.

6. To assist clients with general bathing /bed as procedure file.

7. To ensure dirty linen is correctly counted and bagged for laundry services collection adhering to control of infection policy.

8. Ensure that incoming laundry is checked correctly and put away in appropriate area.

9. To ensure that relevant care is delivered to the clients as detailed on appropriate charts with signature for each entry.

10.To maintain a daily activities programme providing encouragement and motivation to all clients.

11.To monitor incontinence and ensure clients are kept clean and dry at all times.

12.To read and understand all procedures and policies relevant to the role of Care Assistant.

13.To ensure attendance of fire instruction and drills as appropriate.

14.To ensure you are aware of the layout of the building in the case of any emergencies.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
