Job Advert: Welder/Fabricator (will accept trainees)
Location: Petersfield, West Sussex
Salary: £14-18 per hour (depending on experience)

We are a well-established and growing business based in Petersfield, West Sussex, specializing in high-quality metalwork for a variety of sectors, including gates, staircases, balustrades, custom metalwork, and automotive welding. We are looking for a welder/fabricator to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for precision and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

Fabricate and weld gates, staircases, balustrades, custom metalwork, and automotive components, ensuring all work meets the highest standards of quality and detail.
Read and work from technical drawings and specifications without the need for input from management.
Conduct welding and fabrication tasks both in our workshop and out on-site at customer locations across Hampshire, Sussex, London, and occasionally further afield.
Deliver high-quality, finished products that align with our commitment to customer satisfaction and attention to detail.
Maintain a clean, safe working environment, and ensure that tools and equipment are kept in good working order.
Work independently and take responsibility for managing your own workload.

Essential Requirements:

Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (due to the location of the workshop and travel requirements).
Proven experience in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work independently and from technical drawings.
Experience in a variety of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, ARC) and a strong understanding of different metals and materials. (This is not essential, please still get in contact if not all three)
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of work.
Polite, professional, and reliable, with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
Ability to work on-site, often at customer locations, and adapt to different environments and project requirements.

Desirable Skills:

Experience in automotive welding and fabrication.
Knowledge of health and safety standards on-site and in the workshop.
Ability to perform basic maintenance and repairs on welding equipment.

Working Hours:

Regular working hours: 7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday.
30-minute lunch break.
Some weekend and overtime work may be available.
