This is a role with two equally important responsibilities.
The first is helping us create brilliant marketing content. You'll work alongside the rest of our marketing team to produce customer stories, product demonstrations, email campaigns, landing pages, advertising creative and whatever else we think will help us connect with our customers. We all get involved in content, so we're looking for someone who's happy to roll their sleeves up, get behind a camera, share ideas and bring campaigns to life.
The second is helping us increase the value of every customer we acquire. You'll plan and deliver email, SMS and direct mail campaigns, develop customer journeys, work alongside our outbound call centre and continually test new ideas that encourage customers to buy again.
You'll also play an important role in helping us understand what's working and what isn't. You'll analyse campaign performance, customer behaviour and buying patterns, turning data into practical recommendations that help shape our marketing strategy. We don't just want someone who can launch campaigns, we want someone who can tell us how to make the next one even better.
We're looking for someone who enjoys both sides of marketing. Someone who's just as happy filming a customer testimonial in the morning as they are reviewing campaign performance in the afternoon.
You'll be joining a small marketing team of four where ideas are shared, everyone contributes and you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact on the growth of the business.
What you'll be doing:
Content & creative
- Planning, filming and creating engaging marketing content.
- Producing customer testimonials, product demonstrations and educational videos.
- Helping create advertising content across our brands.
- Writing engaging emails, landing pages and promotional copy.
- Working with the team to develop fresh creative ideas and campaigns.
- Building a growing library of content that supports both customer acquisition and customer retention.
Customer Growth
- Planning and delivering email, SMS and direct mail campaigns.
- Building customer journeys and marketing automations.
- Developing cross-sell, upsell and replenishment campaigns.
- Creating win-back campaigns for customers who haven't ordered for a while.
- Working closely with our outbound call centre to improve messaging, offers and customer journeys.
- Segmenting customers and personalising campaigns based on customer behaviour.
- Continually testing new ideas, offers and customer journeys to improve results.
Reporting & analysis
- Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
- Analyse customer behaviour, buying patterns and campaign performance.
- Produce regular reports and summaries that help the wider team understand what's working and where opportunities exist.
- Turn marketing data into practical recommendations that improve future campaigns.
- Identify trends that influence customer acquisition, retention and product performance.
- Help shape future marketing decisions through testing, reporting and analysis.
What we're looking for:
You'll probably have experience with:
- Ecommerce marketing
- Shopify
- Meta Business Suite
- Google Analytics
- Google Ads
- Email marketing
- Copywriting
- Creating photo and video content
- Canva, Adobe Express or similar creative tools
Just as importantly, you'll enjoy solving problems, coming up with ideas and seeing your work make a measurable commercial impact.
You're naturally curious and enjoy understanding why campaigns perform the way they do. You're comfortable working with numbers, spotting trends and turning data into practical ideas that improve results.
You don't need to be a data analyst, but you should be confident reviewing marketing reports, customer data and campaign performance, using what you learn to influence future decisions.
You'll probably recognise yourself in statements like these:
- "I wonder if we could test that..."
- "There's probably a better way of doing this."
- "The data's telling us something."
- "Let's try it and see what happens."
If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
How we'll measure success:
Success in this role isn't measured by how many emails you send or videos you produce.
It's measured by the commercial impact you make and your ability to use creativity and data to continually improve our marketing.
Some of the things you'll help us improve include:
- Customer Lifetime Value (LTV)
- Average Order Value (AoV)
- Repeat purchase rate
- Customer retention
- Campaign performance
- Return on marketing activity
- The quality and quantity of marketing content we produce
Why join us?
We're a small team, which means you'll have far more ownership than you'd find in a larger business.
Good ideas don't disappear into meetings. If you've got one, we'll test it. If it works, we'll do more of it.
If you're looking for a role where you can be creative, think commercially and genuinely influence the direction of a growing ecommerce business, we'd love to hear from you.
Benefits
- £26,000–£34,000 salary depending on experience
- Performance-related bonus
- Office-based role in Cotgrave with flexibility where needed
- Free on-site parking
- 23 days holiday + bank holidays + birthday
- Genuine opportunities for progression as the business grows
Our process:
We believe the best marketers show us what they can do. Shortlisted candidates will complete a short practical exercise before their final interview.
You'll be asked to create:
- A customer retention email.
- A follow-up SMS.
- A simple campaign concept (including a content idea) designed to encourage a second purchase.
- A short summary explaining how you would measure whether your campaign had been successful.
The exercise should take no longer than 45 minutes and is designed to show us how you think, rather than how polished your graphic design skills are. If this sounds like the sort of challenge you're looking for, we'd love to hear from you.
