Our English team is looking for a new member to join us! We are currently looking to recruit a teacher or aspiring teacher of English to work on a part-time basis in our team.

In a teaching role at Nottingham College you will play a vital part in helping thousands of people reach their potential. What you'll do

When students achieve in English, doors open up for them. With this in mind, we are looking for an English Lecturer who is a dedicated and enthusiastic to join our cross-college English team. The successful applicant will be able to teach GCSE re-sit programme and Functional Skills at a range of levels. You will be a responsible and confident educator who has the skills to inspire both students and colleagues. You will have an imaginative approach to teaching and implement creative lessons to fully engage and inspire your students as well as a highly inclusive learning environment. You will also be interested in innovating and developing your practice and exploring digital opportunities to prepare your students for their future employment.

Who we're looking for

Applicants should have recent experience of working in education, the ability to work as part of a team and develop and share innovative and stimulating teaching and learning resources. You must be passionate education, an understanding of the FE sector and be committed to ensuring that our students make the best possible progress. We welcome applicants from all educational backgrounds as we value diversity and those with different experience on our team. Applicants must also have a good sense of humour, the ability to work under pressure and adapt to change. This job is for teachers or aspiring teachers of English looking to make a real difference in the heart of our vibrant city.

A teaching qualification is desirable, and you must be passionate about being a professional educator to young people. You will be supported by a diverse and experienced team, with access to a range of training and supported to move forwards in your teaching career.
