Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Motor Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of motor vehicles to ensure optimal safety, performance, and reliability. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly and our customers satisfied. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical skills in a fast-paced environment where quality workmanship and customer service are highly valued.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and other vehicle components utilising hand tools and power tools.
Assemble and disassemble vehicle parts with precision, following manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
Use welding equipment for repairs requiring metal fabrication or structural reinforcement.
Maintain detailed records of all repair work performed, including parts used and time spent on each task.
Assist customers by explaining repair procedures, providing estimates, and ensuring their questions are addressed professionally.
Lift heavy vehicle components safely using proper techniques and equipment to prevent injury or damage.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques.
Experience in vehicle maintenance, equipment repair, and troubleshooting complex mechanical systems.
Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy lifting, welding, and equipment handling.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
Physical stamina for heavy lifting and working in various positions for extended periods.
Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining high-quality standards.
This position is part-time, with flexible working hours with the potential to increase to full-time employment.
