Full job description

Oakley Fitness is now looking for a full-time Senior receptionist. This role combines hands-on reception duties with essential staff supervision to ensure a seamless experience for members and a well-supported staff.

What We Are Looking For

The Essentials: A professional, flexible, and friendly individual who takes pride in their presentation and work ethic.
Leadership Skills: Proven dependability in managing front-desk coverage and a natural ability to bring a team together.
Flexibility: Complete flexibility to travel and cover shifts across both our Petts Wood and Tunbridge Wells locations.
Tech Savvy: Strong working knowledge of computer systems, particularly Microsoft Office, (desirable Paxton experience).
Desirable: A Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification is highly desirable but not essential.

What You Will Do:

Shift Leadership: Ensure consistent reception coverage personally while fostering a collaborative team approach to managing shift rotations and holiday cover across both our Petts Wood and Tunbridge Wells sites.
Staffing & Training: Take a proactive role in the hiring, onboarding, and training of new front-of-house team members.
Facility Oversight: Take responsibility for daily facility opening and closing procedures, meticulously following operational checklists.
Communication Management: Occasionally manage out-of-hours phone inquiries.
Social Media: Help drive our digital presence by managing and updating the company’s social media platforms.
General Administration: Use Microsoft Office and Excel daily, ensuring high attention to detail and accurate data entry.
Outstanding Member Service: Act as the ultimate representative for Oakley Fitness, greeting members and visitors with a friendly, professional attitude.
Account Management: Calmly and professionally resolve customer issues via email, phone, or in person. Efficiently process member sign-ups, gym inductions, class bookings, amendments, cancellations, and account freezes.
Club Presentation: Maintain a thoroughly clean, tidy, and welcoming reception area at all times. Promptly log and report gym equipment or facility breakdowns to minimize member downtime.
