Regional Contracts Manager (West Cornwall)

About the role
This is a key leadership role responsible for the delivery of locality-based repairs, maintenance and planned works across a significant portfolio. You’ll ensure services are customer-focused, cost-effective and fully compliant with regulatory standards.
Working with contractors, colleagues and partners, you’ll take ownership of performance, budgets and outcomes—driving improvements in service quality, customer satisfaction and value for money. You’ll provide clear oversight of delivery, ensuring risks are managed, standards are met and services remain safe and compliant.
You’ll lead on contractor performance, procurement activity and service improvement, working closely with Housing Management and other teams to resolve complex issues and deliver a joined-up service. As part of the Wider Leadership Team, you’ll also contribute to business planning, risk management and shaping the future of Property Services.

About you
To be successful, you’ll be/have:
- A relevant qualification (e.g. CIH Level 4, HNC/HND or similar) or equivalent substantial experience in property maintenance or the built environment
- Significant experience delivering repairs, maintenance or planned works at scale
- Strong experience managing contractors and driving performance against KPIs, budgets and service standards
- Experience leading teams and building a high-performance, customer-focused culture
- Strong commercial awareness, including knowledge of procurement, contract management and value for money
- Excellent analytical and data skills, with the ability to use insight to inform decisions and drive improvement
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working across services to resolve complex issues
- Good understanding of health & safety, compliance and regulatory requirements

Salary: £54,973 per year
Working Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent
Base: Hybrid working - working from office, home, site and in the community as needed. Your base will be our main office in Dalvenie House, New County Hall, Truro, TR1 3AY. This role requires you to typically work from the office at least 2 days per week.
