Overview

Located in the heart of Cardiff, our vibrant café serves exceptional coffee, teas, specialty drinks, bubble teas, patisserie, artisan bakery treats, and fresh gelato. We create a welcoming space where quality, creativity, and service come together to celebrate great taste and experience.

an experienced and commercially driven Store Manager to lead our Cardiff location. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands both the operational and strategic side of running a successful customer-oriented retail business.

You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store performance, from team leadership and customer experience to sales growth, marketing, inventory control, and wholesale coordination.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive sales, optimise merchandising strategies, and foster a positive shopping environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining high standards across all store functions.

Responsibilities

Lead and motivate the store team to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service
Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
Manage staff scheduling, training, and performance appraisals to ensure a cohesive team environment
Oversee merchandising activities to optimise product displays and maximise sales potential
Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues promptly with professionalism and courtesy
Analyse sales data to identify trends and implement strategic initiatives for growth
Maintain stock levels, organise inventory checks, and coordinate with suppliers as necessary
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
Monitor KPIs, analyse performance data, and implement improvements where needed
Assist in recruitment processes to attract high-calibre candidates for retail positions
Promote a positive store culture that encourages teamwork, organisation, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

Proven management experience within the retail sector, including supervising teams and overseeing operations
Hands-on, organised, and proactive in problem-solving
Passionate about coffee and all aspects of a cafe and delivering a standout customer experience
Commercially aware with a track record of driving sales and improving store performance
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative environment
Excellent organisational skills with effective time management capabilities
Proficiency in merchandising, sales management, and administrative tasks
Effective communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are advantageous for diverse customer bases
Experience in retail management systems and point-of-sale technology
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently under pressure
Exceptional phone etiquette and customer service skills
Previous experience in supervising staff, managing sales targets, and implementing organisational strategies is highly desirable
