Job Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional food experiences! This energetic position is perfect for individuals passionate about food, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to a lively kitchen environment. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the culinary team by assisting with meal preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are met. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a welcoming atmosphere where great food and excellent service thrive.

Duties

Assist with b.fast service and documentation
Assist wit snack and shakes preparation
Serve Tea/ coffee and cakes mid-morning
Take food order for lunch from service users and liaise with chef for alternative options
Ensure dining room is clean and set up between meals.
Clean dishes after each meal.
Support chefs and cooks with ingredient organization and inventory management
Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including counters, utensils, and equipment
Follow food safety protocols diligently to uphold hygiene standards
Serve dishes to customers or staff in a courteous and efficient manner
Help with catering setups for events or special functions
Ensure proper storage of ingredients and leftovers according to safety guidelines.
Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; eagerness to learn is key
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety practices
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting the culinary team
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends or evenings if needed
Basic culinary experience or familiarity with meal preparation is advantageous
